Philippians 3:1-11

Sometimes we can agree to disagree about opinions about Jesus but sometimes we cannot - there are dangerous/misleading doctrines (eg. Salvation = Jesus + works vs Salvation = Christ alone).

Saul/Paul listed all the things he had that would have been important qualities (good works, keeping the law) in Judaism, yet he said that all those things that should have given him confidence have become worthless and he gave them up. He had no ulterior motive to become a follower of Christ; he already had a reputation, respect, achievements, benefits and gave it up for suffering.

Meeting Jesus changed his perspective and he understood who had true righteousness and what had true value. He gained the knowledge of who God is and also a relationship with the Christ.
